Ganagapura is a village in Karnataka, India., it is located in Kalaburagi district in Karnataka. The Village is famous for its temple of Lord Dattatreya, who have attained realization on the banks of the rivers Bhima – Amarja sangama.Ganagapura also known as Sri Kshetra is associated with Sri Narasimha Saraswati swami, the second incarnation of Dattatreya.Sri Narasimha Saraswati swamy promised to his disciples that he would abide forever at Ganagapura. In the morning he would be bathing at the pavitra sangama of Bhima – Amarja rivers, At midday he would go to the village to ask biksha and accept the pooja offerings in the form of Nirguna Paduka at the temple. The devotees strongly believe that by bathing at the sangama, studying Guru Charitra book for 7 days at the Odumbara tree located at sangama, by begging (Biksha) from near by houses for 7 days in Ganagapura and by offering Paduka Pooja at the temple they can experience the living presence of Sri Narasimha Saraswati Swami.and be free from sins and get their wishes granted by Sri Datattreya Swami.
The significant places to visit in Ganagapura are Nirgun Math,Kalleswar temple,Sangam Kshetra,Audumbar Tree. Ganagapur is well connected by road and rail. There are many state-run buses from Gulbarga to Ganagapur.May all get the blessings of Sri Dattareya Swami..Jai Gurudatta.

Nagarjuna Sagar Dam was the earliest in a series of large infrastructure projects termed as "modern temples" initiated for achieving the Green Revolution in India. It is also one of the earliest multi-purpose irrigation and hydroelectric projects in India. The dam provides irrigation water to Nalgonda, Suryapet, Krishna, Khammam, West Godavari, Guntur, and Prakasam districts along with electricity generation. Nagarjuna Sagar Dam is designed and constructed to use all the water impounded in its reservoir of 312 TMC gross storage capacity which is the second biggest water reservoir in India.
We visited Nagarjuna Sagar Dam for the long weekend of October 2 , as they have opened multiple gates . We drove from Hyderabad to Nagarjuna Sagar Dam on bikes, distance from Hyderabad to Nagarjuna Sagar is 155 KM and its took us 3 hours to reach Nagarjuna sagar. It was amazing to watch the water flowing in full swing from the gates,it was a great pleasure for us to see the water flowing. It was a great drive following the nature all the way. Nagarjuna Sagar Dam is very famous for the sea food like Fishes, Prawns etc..how can a trip to Narjuna Sagar dam be completed without having sea food, very good varieties of fishes like Catla, Indian Salmon etc..were readily available to be served. As all the major hotels were closed due to the current pandemic situation, we were forced to eat at the road side food stall, but the fish fry they served was amazing and there was a huge demand for the fish fry.People were standing in long queues to get their plate of fish fry.Nagarjuna Sagar Dam is always a very good place to visit in the monsoons.
